Assignment #1: Academic Success Proposal

Here you will see my final paper submitted. This submission has all of the corrections included. Being allowed to correct my paper not only raised my grade but also helped me really focus on the mistakes I made. I was very proud of this paper. I definitely learned I like to write from a personal perspective. This paper was written in  MLA format. This paper also reflects the writing process I used which was a Three Part Essay. I think the difference in this paper and other essays alike, is that I have two opening paragraphs and then I go on to elaborate on my three points. Assignment #1: Instructor Feedback.

Image
In these photos here, you see where my teacher went in after my final submission and left me some feedback. I was able to go back after this and she let me do a revised final rough draft. This was a great way for me to be mindful of what seemed like minor details. There was another area not pictured above where I was writing "70's" as a descriptive time frame and learned through her guidance that the correct way to write that is with the apostrophe in the front. An example would look like this....'70s.

Hometown Narrative: rough draft

Hometown Narrative: Assignment one rough draft.      In this particular assignment, I had to write a paper on my hometown and how it shaped me. This paper was a fun one for me. It was imperative to me to make it so that the reader could see and smell the environment I was describing. I tried to use as many descriptive words as possible. when starting this assignment I used old-fashioned pen and paper. I called my sister who helped me narrow the process down. she told me to list three things about the location in which I was writing and each subject would be the basis of a paragraph. This really simplified the task for me. This was my first rough draft of my narrative. In this photo, at the top, is my list of subject matters. then the paragraphs below were based on the topics. the opening paragraph is not posed here. it was on a separate sheet.
